Description

Responsible for providing advanced technical support for the Property & Casualty Operational teams, Insurance and IT Partners. Possess’ comprehensive knowledge of the Property & Casualty suite of products and their interdependencies between the payroll application, carrier system and HRIS. Works independently to diagnose complex systemic issues relating to the carrier and client.

  • Acts as a subject matter expert for all systemic functions relevant to the property and casualty suite of products within the Paychex insurance agency. Coordinates the diagnosis of system issues with Paychex Insurance Agency specialists; summarizes data related to system(s) issue and works with support to determine root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Works with the client and other business units to bring resolution of complex systemic property and casualty issues. These issues can be Paychex internal systems or connectivity issues between the insurance carrier, and client.
  • Prepares weekly and monthly business unit statistics to identify business trends. Reviews these business related issues to identify trends or changes within the business and reports findings to management.
  • Compiles data to identify trends or opportunities for efficiency and risk mitigation through statistical reporting and analysis which is used by the Agency Management Team.
  • Works collaboratively with property and casualty product analysts to provide them with specific needs analysis for any systemic changes when submitting internal work requests that originate in the business units.
  • Through identification of systems issues and regulatory changes, provides systemic and process recommendations to the P&C Product Analysts for internal work requests to improve the process flow and internal applications.
  • Escalates internal systemic performance issues and works with IT Support, HRS and Core Advanced Development towards resolution. Monitors and tracks all internal system reported issues through internal resolution and communicated results to business unit.
  • Represents and acts as the technical or product liaison to the business units for any Property and Casualty systems or network projects.
  • Research and resolve any issues that may arise as a result of the monthly insurance premium remittance for each P&C insurance carrier. Issues could be systems related or human errors or accounting discrepancies.
  • Identifies any commission discrepancies paid to our insurance partners that would result in a loss of revenue for the Paychex Insurance Agency.
  • Mitigates Paychex Insurance Agency bad debt through timely research and resolution of each property & casualty insurance carrier(s) book of business. On a monthly basis each insurance carrier sends a booking report, this role examines, mitigates and resolves any discrepancies between the carriers system and PIA.
  • Participates in and/or facilitate training sessions as required by the business unit. Typically the training is directed to internal Paychex Insurance Agency Specialists and focuses on regulatory(this relates to rate changes and or changes to a specific industry change) or system trainings for the department.
  • Monitors the property & casualty portal where the insurance agency communicates procedural and statutory updates within the department. This person is responsible for monitoring the data to ensure any policy or procedural changes are updated timely.

Position Requirements
  • BS in Management, Business or Finance is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years customer service/insurance related experience.
  • Needs to be proficient with the interdependencies of HRIS, and the carrier applications. Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office Applications. Exemplary knowledge of all applicable Paychex systems used with the Paychex Insurance Agency. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Expert analytical and mathematical skills. Property & Casualty Insurance License is required.
